This year the May Ball had a wonderful Harry Potter theme with entrance through Platform 9 ¾ into the magical festivities beyond.
Elusive golden snitches, house banners representing Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw hanging from the ceiling and balloon owls delivering letters. This set the scene for two fun-packed evenings at Market Rasen Festival Hall.
Individuals were involved in planning the party, creating decorations and helping during the event and they were supported by staff from across the organisation to have fun, dancing away to the disco with their families and friends. A magician performed fantastic feats which delighted the crowds and everyone tucked into a veritable feast.
Dumbledore himself made an appearance to present certificates to the winners of competitions such as ‘best dancer’ and ‘most creative costume’. Everyone made an incredible effort with their costumes transforming themselves into their favourite characters.
Home From Home Care supports over 80 individuals across Lincolnshire, making social events like the Halloween Party accessible and enjoyable for each of the individuals to experience on their own terms. These social events allow friends and family to come together and enjoy a night out in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
